Faqs
What types of websites are allowed to use the counter?
Our service is available for personal and non-profit and commercial websites.
Our counter service is explicitly not available to spammers, email marketers,
adult websites or any website we find objectionable due to content or extremely
high traffic volumes.
May I have an invisible counter on my pages?
Yes, we do provide invisible counters for upgraded members. They are called "stealth" counters.
How does the your counter work?
A small piece of javascript code must be installed in your webpage in order to activate and allow your website to be tracked.
Each time a person browsing the web requests a tracked webpage the counter code
will communicate with our servers logging hits, unique visits and statistics.
Can I make my counter invisible?
Free counters may not be invisible, however Paid counter members can change
the style of the counter to display the "stealth" (invisible or no numbers of visits are shown). You
can view the counter stats from within your member area.
May I change the color of the counter displayed on my page?
Yes, counters are delivered in the default font, which means that they will
accept the styles of your webpage. We also offer many different statbox images you can choose from.
Are there any advertising and link backs with the counter?
No, we do not add any advertisements to our counters, however there is a link back to our site.
What is the 'Ban IP' option used for?
This option is used to prevent your own IP as a counted visit. For example, every time you visit any of your web pages, your visits will not be counted as a hit. This method helps filter your true web site visits. You can also use this option to prevent any other IP address of your choice.
What if I do not want my site stats viewed by others?
You have the option to choose to add your website to the 'Top 20' or not at all. Upgraded members can choose to password lock the stats page, but yet still be able to have the site link added to the 'Top 20' page. In other words, Free Accounts have the option to add their website, however DO NOT have the option to avoid their stats from public view if they do decide to add their website to the 'Top 20' website link page.
